The checks mirror ICAO Document 9303 (the standard behind passport photos worldwide) plus the national variations each authority publishes. This is the same list you see in the report.

Common questions

Will the photo actually be accepted?

The checks follow the published ICAO 9303 and national rules: head size, eye position, frontal pose, neutral expression, even lighting, plain background and file limits. If a photo that passed every check is still rejected, send us the rejection notice and you get a free re-edit or a full refund.

Do I have to pay before I know if it works?

No. Taking the photo, the compliance report and the watermarked preview are free, as many times as you like. You pay once, only to download the finished files.

Where does my photo go?

Nowhere. Face detection and background replacement run inside your browser using on-device models. You can verify this: open your browser's network inspector while processing and you will see no image upload. Only the payment goes to our payment provider.

My form wants a specific size in KB. Do you handle that?

Yes. Exam and government portals often demand 20–50 KB or under 100 KB. We compress to fit under the maximum and, where a minimum applies, pad the file so it is not rejected for being too small.

Can I do this for my baby or child?

Yes. Choose the Baby & Child spec. Lay the child on a plain white sheet and shoot from above. Eyes-open and neutral-expression rules are relaxed for under-6s, as most authorities allow.

Can I print it?

Every purchase includes a print sheet with multiple copies and cut lines, sized for 4×6 inch, 10×15 cm or A4 paper. Print it at any pharmacy, photo kiosk or at home at 100% scale.

Who am I paying?
